Theory

In Shakespeare’s Sonnet 138 the ageing speaker presents himself as ‘some untutored youth / Unlearned in the world’s false subtleties.’ He reminds us that training and experience shape our perceptions and habits in complex ways.

In this section we present some research ideas that we are actively exploring.  They might be new to you or quite familiar. We see them as opportunities to reshape knowledge and practice and reconsider ‘the world’s false subtleties.’

You’ll find the ideas introduced and linked to scholarship. If they interest you, you might pursue them theoretically or experiment more practically. Join us on Facebook or Twitter to offer feedback and share your experiences, or even create your own discussion topics.

Who knows what might be learned – and even utterly reconceptualised – by our collaborative pursuit of fresh approaches?
